British PM Theresa May Urges Lawmakers to Agree to her Negotiated Brexit Deal or Face Extended Delay

  • British Prime Minister Theresa May has said that Britain’s planned exit from the European Union may get delayed substantially until and unless the lawmakers approve the Brexit divorce deal. She went on to give Brexit supporters an ultimatum asking them to support her negotiated deal on March 21. May also went on to say that missing this date will lead to two possibilities: either they have to face the consequence of getting the Brexit delayed beyond June 30 or open the possibility of thwarting the divorce deal entirely. She stressed upon the fact that if this divorce deal is thwarted, leading to the requirement of a new deal then the UK may have to participate in the May election of the European Parliament.
