Brazil's landless workers movement to defeat coup
April 2 , 2016
In a bid to defeat the ongoing effort of impeachment of the Brazilian president Dilemma Rousseff, the members of MST landless workers movement have planned to lead a nationwide protest on Tuesday. President Rousseff faces a possible impeachment for manipulating the budget figures of the year 2014-15 to hide the size of deficit. To launch the impeachment trial a majority of two-thirds in the lower house and a simple majority in senate would be required, during which Rousseff will have to leave the office temporarily. The MST leaders are to lead a nationwide demonstration of tens of thousands of Brazilians to support President Rousseff.
