Brazil Health Minister regrets losing battle against mosquito
January 27 , 2016
Ahead of the Brazilian Carnival celebrations, the country’s home minister has expressed his sadness in failing to deal with the Aedes aegypti mosquito that transmits Zika, dengue, chikungunya and yellow fever. The minister would be sending 220,000 members of Brazil’s Armed Forces to help in eradicating the mosquito. Additionally, mosquito repellent would be sent to 400,000 pregnant women who receive cash-transfer benefits.
