September 3 , 2018
A national museum of Brazil, which is 200 years old, has been destroyed by a massive fire. It is being believed that all the artefacts and the knowledge has been lost too. The museum was one of the largest anthropological museums located in Rio de Janeiro’s Quinta da boa Vista park. Around 50 fire fighters are trying to battle against the fire. However, there are no casualties reported so far. There were only security officials and guards present at the time the museum caught fire, all of whom escaped unhurt. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
