August 19 , 2017
Security has been beefed up in Boston around a “Free Speech” rally on Saturday that will feature prominent right-wing speakers such as Kyle Chapman and Joe Biggs. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told media that they have given permission for holding the rally but no violence will be tolerated. Keeping in mind the ugly turn of events in Charlottesville, Walsh went on to say that all kinds of weapons such as bats. sticks, and others are banned at the rally site. A “Fight White Supremacy” march (expected to draw thousands of supporters) will also take place from Roxbury neighbourhood to the Common.
