Boko Haram's reign of terror continues, kidnaps 30 boys and girls

  • Boko Haram militants have kidnapped around 30 boys and girls from a northeastern Nigerian town, media reports said, the latest in a series of brazen kidnappings that have dashed hopes for the release of more than 200 schoolgirls seized by the militant group in April.

Boko Haram gunmen raided Mafa town on Friday and Saturday and forcibly took away the boys and girls, reports said.

The militants had attacked the nearby Ndongo village on Thursday, killing 17 people and setting houses on fire.
