Body of South Korean billionaire linked to ferry mishap found
July 22 , 2014
South Korean police have said that the DNA from a body matched with that of Yoo Byung-eun, the billionaire, who went missing in April after the sinking of a ferry that killed 292 people on board, many of whom were schoolchildren.
Reports have indicated that 73-year-old Yoo and his two sons controlled the shipping firm that ran the ferry, through an investment vehicle and subsidiary.
The police said that when the autopsy was started on the body in June, it was 80% decomposed. The cause of death is being probed.
