Bhutto's Son Joins Politics
December 28 , 2012
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the 24-year-old son of Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari, joined a political rally in the Sindh province of Pakistan on the fifth death anniversary of his mother. This could mean that Bhutto-Zardari is now keen to take over the reins of power in Pakistan, say senior politicians in the country. The rally was held near the family home and the young politician made a fiery speech to commence his political career. Benazir Bhutto was one of the most prominent women to lead the nation. She was assassinated five years ago in Rawalpindi by a suicide bomb attack.
Bhutto-Zardari addressed many concerns in Pakistan including the economic development issues, law and order, and women’s education concerns. In a bold move he supported Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani women’s education activist who was shot by the Taliban.
