Bengal tiger snatches man from boat

  • A man hunting for crabs illegally in an Indian national park reportedly paid for it with his life. The Odisha Sun Times notes that a Bengal tiger dragged him from his boat into the forest and his children were unable to save him by beating the animal off with sticks.

The body of Sushil Manjhi hasn't been found as of yet and the media reports indicate that about 2,500 Bengal tigers exist in Sunderbans National Park, where the attack happened.

This attack was the fourth one in the region this year.
