The legendary editor of the Washington Post, Ben Bradlee, has died at the age of 93, according to media reports.
Perhaps best known for being the Post editor when the Watergate scandal broke out, toppling the presidency of Richard Nixon, he turned the newspaper into one of America’s most respected media names.
He was executive editor of the Post from 1968 to 1991. Last year, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
