Barack Obama says he will take unilateral action on gun violence

  • In his first weekly address of 2016, U.S. President Barack Obama said he will take unilateral action to combat the issue of gun violence in the country. President Obama said he would hold a meeting with Loretta Lynch, Attorney General, to discuss about the action to be taken. The President said, as the US Congress had failed to address the issue, he was using his executive powers as president.
