Bangladesh: 70 killed in a historic district of Dhaka

At least 70 people have been killed in a deadly fire that broke out in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Wednesday. The blaze broke out in the evening in a multi-storeyed residential building in which one floor had flammable chemicals stored there. As per media sources, the fire has been brought under control now. The exact cause of the fire is not known but it is assumed that the fire might have originated from a gas cylinder which quickly spread throughout the building. Several people were injured in the blaze who lived on the other floors of the building. As per the fire officers, the death toll may rise as bodies of missing people are still being searched.
