Bangladesh: 1 killed, 80 wounded in bomb attack on Shia site
October 25 , 2015
At least one person was killed and about 80 injured in a bomb attack on a Shia site in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka.
The attack, believed to be the first such attack targeting the country’s tiny Shia community, happened when thousands of community members had gathered for an annual procession.
The blast comes weeks after two foreigners, an Italian and a Japanese, were shot dead in Bangladesh. The Islamic State had claimed responsibility for the two shootings.
