Bali bomb suspect verdict due

  • An Indonesian court is to deliver its verdict in the case of one of the alleged key figures in the 2002 Bali bombings.

Umar Patek, 45, faces six charges, several of which are terrorism-related. Prosecutors have asked for life imprisonment.

He has admitted helping mix chemicals for the bombs, but said he was not involved in the attacks themselves.

The bombings, blamed on the Jemaah Islamiah militant network, killed more than 200 people, most of them foreigners.
