Back military action against Houthi rebels, Yemen's President urges UN
March 25 , 2015
Yemen’s ousted president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi has urged the United Nations security council to support military action against the Houthi rebels.
In a letter request, he has called for a resolution to authorize immediate backing for the “legitimate authority” and “willing countries”.
Hadi, who fled the Yemini capital Sanaa in February, is currently in Aden.
Consolidating their gains, the rebels, who have tightened their grip over Sanaa, captured two important towns on Tuesday, media reports said.
