February 18 , 2016
An Australian town has been hit by the hairy panic, which is a fast growing tumbleweed. According to media reports, the tumbleweed is clogging up homes in Wangaratta, located in Victoria’s northeast. Extremely dry conditions are leading to the weeds being piled up every day outside a row of houses in the town. Piles of hairy panic are said to reach roof height at times and residents are forced to clear out the weeds for several hours a day.
