Australia: New South Wales Witnesses The Highest Rainfall of 30 Years

Australia's New South Wales is witnessing highest rainfall in thirty years. Evacuation process is underway in several towns and more than 50 schools have been shut so far by the Department of Education in New South Wales. As per the Bureau of Meteorology of the country, so far the region has witnessed more than 200 millimeters (7.9 inches) of rainfall in the past 24 hours. But rainfall has extinguished some persistent bushfires that have wrecked the city by burning 499,621 hectares of land over 74 days.
