Australia: Five teenagers arrested for planning 'terror' attack
April 18 , 2015
A terrorist plot to attack a centenary event marking World War I in Melbourne has been foiled by the police, Australian authorities said.
Five teenagers, all aged 18 or 19 and said to be inspired by Islamic State, have been arrested. According to the police, they were planning to attack police personnel during the memorial event next week.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott has urged Australians to attend the memorial events and not change their plans.
