Australia: Archbishop sentenced for covering up sex abuse

The Archbishop Adelaide Philip Wilson of Australia has been convicted of covering sex abuse. He has been ordered a year's detention but has been spared from prison and sentenced to six months home detention due to failing health. Wilson was found guilty in the month of May for covering up abuse by a paedophile priest. He will be eligible for parole after six months. Wilson is the senior most Catholic globally who has been convicted of the crime.
