Tunisian authorities arrest people for Sousse attack
June 30, 2015 : Tunisian police have arrested a group of people over the killing of 38 people in Sousse. Interior minister Mohamed Gharsalli said that 1,000 troops will be deployed along the country’s beaches to provide more security to the people. Tunisian authorities said that the attacker claimed to have acted alone, but he had accomplices who gave him logical support and weapons. While addressing his counterparts from UK, Germany and France, Mohamed Gharsalli said that they are friends against one enemy. The ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
June 26, 2015: At least 39 people were killed when gunmen attacked a beach near two hotels in the Tunisian town of Sousse. Foreigners are also believed to be killed in the attack. A British tourist said from his room he saw a man with a pistol but it was not clear whether he was a member of the security forces or one of the attackers. Media reports quoted officials as saying that one of the attackers is being pursued while the other has been killed.
