AT&T not to sell CNN

  • AT&T, an American multinational conglomerate, has stated that it will not be selling CNN to get the approval of the US government for the merger of the wireless company with Time Warner. According to media reports, the US Justice Department has conveyed to AT&T that unless it agrees to sell CNN or DirecTV, its acquisition of Time Warner would be blocked. Meanwhile, Randall Stephenson, Chairman and CEO of AT&T, stated that he has no intention of selling CNN.
