Assailants open fire outside U.S. consulate in Istanbul

Barely hours after a bomb attack on a police station in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, two assailants opened fire outside the U.S. consulate in the city. According to media reports, around seven people were injured in the bomb blast, which also included five police officers; however, no one has been hurt in the attack on the consulate. The assailants who had attacked the consulate, escaped after the police opened fire.
