All legal hurdles for gay marriage in Idaho cleared

  • Same-sex marriage can begin in Idaho after the Supreme Court rejected the state's request for a delay in implementation.

    This will make Idaho the 27th state in the United States to allow gay marriage.

    After a federal appeals court had found the same-sex marriage bans in Nevada and Idaho unconstitutional, Idaho officials had filed an appeal urging to block the enforcement of the order. But Friday’s verdict removes any legal ambiguity.
