Militant group al-Shabaab has reportedly claimed responsibility for an attack on a bus that killed 28 people in Kenya.
Dozens of gunmen, believed to be Somali, separated the passengers according to who were able to recite verses from the Koran, and shot those who could not, reports indicated.
The bus was going to Nairobi when it was stopped by the militants in the north. In a statement the terror group said the attack was to avenge raids carried out on mosques in Mombassa city.
