After bomb hoax, focus on mental health of suspect
August 6 , 2014
The mental health of a 47-year-old man, who was arrested after a bomb hoax on a Qatar Airways flight that was heading to Manchester, will be fully assessed.
A mental health team initially examined the man involved in the incident in mid-air, the police said.
He is believed to be from north-west England.
The pilot of the Doha-to-Manchester Qatar Airways QR23 flight informed authorities that a passenger had handed him a note concerning a “a possible device on board”. RAF jets escorted the plane as it landed in Manchester.
