Africa tour: Obama reaches Ethiopia for talks with regional leaders

  • President Barack Obama has reached Ethiopia, where he will discuss the conflict in South Sudan with leaders of the region and hold talks with government officials. 

    Obama is the first serving American president to visit Ethiopia. He will also become the first US leader to address members of the African Union at its Addis Ababa headquarters. 

    The US president flew to the Ethiopian capital after a two-day tour to Kenya, the country where his father came from.
