    Afghan security forces have regained control of Kunduz province’s Khan Abad district from the Talibans, who gained control of the district centre on Saturday morning. Provincial police Chief Mohammad Qasim Jangalbagh told media that counter-attack on Taliban were launched by Afghanistan security forces yesterday night and flushed out the terrorists by night. Reports say 23 militants have been killed by the security forces and more than 30 people were reportedly injured during the clash. Local authorities said Afghan authorities lost control of Khan Abad district to Taliban initially because of lack of ammunition and reinforcements.
