Police arrested an eight-year-old girl in southern Afghanistan for a failed suicide bombing after an Afghan soldier spotted her wearing a suicide vest.
According to BBC, the girl intended on attacking the border police but the reason for her failure is not yet clear - she either had issues detonating the vest or was arrested before she succeeded in doing do.
Reports suggest that the little girl is the sister of a Taliban commander who promoted this attack. Police say she is in a confused and shocked state and is currently being held in Helmand's province's capital.
