Abe's close aides seen posing with neo-Nazi leader
September 9 , 2014
In potential embarrassment for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, photos of two close aides showing them posing with a controversial neo-Nazi leader, who has praised Adolf Hitler in the past, have emerged.
In the first photo, internal affairs minister Sanae Takaichi is seen alongside the 52-year-old neo-Nazi leader Kazunari Yamada. In the second picture, Tomomi Inada, the policy chief of Abe’s party, is seen posing with Yamada.
Both Takaichi and Inada have claimed that they were unaware of Yamada’s ideology when these pictures were taken.
