A Pet Cafe in Chengdu Dying Dogs Like Panda Cubs

  • A new pet cafe in Chengdu in south-western China is making headlines. As per Chengdu Economic Daily, the cafe is home to six giant panda cubs which has raised a lot of eyebrows. However, on closer inspection turns out to be chow chow breed of dogs. These breeds are dyed by the cafe owners in order to make them look like China's national animal. Mr Huang, the owner of the cafe says that along with drink and food, they also provide dying service. Although, this promotional strategy raised a lot of concern. Li Daibing, a vet from Chengdu told people not to go for these dying since "this could damage their fur and skin".
