80 people dead in Pakistan due to heavy rains

  • Heavy rains in Pakistan have killed 80 people and displaced more than 80,000 over the past four days. Teams are now dealing with the rescue and relief of the people. 

    According to reports, flooding has particularly been bad in the city of Karachi, which is the largest in the country. 

    Afghan relief official Mohammad Daim Kakar said the storm has also killed about 75 people in the eastern part of Afghanistan. 

    The deaths reported in Pakistan by Brigadier Kamran Zia span the entire country.
