65 killed, 120 injured in China factory blast

  • At least 65 people have been killed and over 120 injured in an explosion in a factory in Kunshan city in east China’s Jiangsu province. 

    Initial reports indicated that the blast at Kunshan Zhongrong Metal Products Co Ltd., which makes wheels for American car-makers, was caused by negligence. Kunshan Zhongrong’s clients include General Motors.

    Many of those injured suffered burns. The incident is being described as China’s worst industrial mishap in a year.
