63 women, girls escape from clutches of Boko Haram

  • Sixty-three women and girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria escaped from their clutches and returned to their village, reports said.  

    The group had been kidnapped from Kummabza village on June 18 by Boko Haram militants, who killed 30 men and burned the village.

    The militant group is still holding above 200 schoolgirls hostage since April 14

    The 63 hostages managed to escape during a fight between Boko Haram and security forces, reports said.
