6.6 magnitude earthquake hits Afghanistan

A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan, near its border with Tajikistan, the US Geological Survey said. According to media reports, the tremors of the earthquake were felt in a number of cities across southwest Asia. Residents rushed out of their homes in cities such as Islamabad, Kabul, Lahore, and Delhi. There have been no reports of casualties or damage to property.
