6.2 magnitude quake rocks Taiwan

A 6.2 magnitude rocked Taiwan on Sunday resulting in numerous road accidents and property damage.
The quake struck 24 miles southeast of T'ai-chung city with tremors reaching the capital Taipei.
At least one person was killed and 20 others injured.
Another person was also reported missing.
According to Taiwanese media reports, the quake also triggered a gas explosion in the center of the island nation though no further details were divulged.
Taiwan is located on top of the ‘Ring of Fire’ region of seismic activity in the Pacific Ocean.
