Baghdad bombing: Death toll crosses 90
May 12, 2016: The death toll in the deadly Baghdad bomb blasts has risen to 94. A total of three bomb blasts took place. The first attack, which was a suicide car bomb, occurred at a crowded market in the Shiite Muslim area of Sadr City. At least 64 people were killed in that attack. Two more blasts took place at the end of the day. Militant group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
50 dead in blast in Baghdad market
May 11, 2016: At least 50 people were killed when a car bomb exploded near a market in a Shiite area of Baghdad. Media reports quoted officials as saying that around 60 people were injured in the blast that took place in the Sadr City.
