5.5 magnitude earthquake strikes South Korea

  • A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the southeastern coast of South Korea. According to media reports, the earthquake was detected around 4 miles north of Pohang, a southeastern port city. Tremors were felt as far as Seoul, which is located more than 300kilometersfrom where the earthquake occurred. Residents reported that their buildings were shaken. However, no casualties were reported.
