39 Injured, 5 Dead in Chicago Shootings

  • Forty-four people were shot and among them, five were killed in Chicago on Sunday as per the police records. The shooting happened between midnight and 2 pm. Fred Waller, Bureau of Patrol Chief, has stated that “The city of Chicago experienced a violent night. Some of these instances were targeted and were related to gang conflicts in those areas.” Of the wounded, the youngest is of 11 and the oldest is of 62. Before the violent Sunday shooting, there were also 6 non-fatal shootings on Friday and 15 shootings, with just one fatal shooting, on Saturday.
