35 killed as deadly bomb blasts rock Kabul

About 35 people were killed and hundreds wounded in multiple bomb attacks in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul.
Twenty police recruits were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up near the police academy in the city.
Another blast targeted an area to the north of the airport.
At least 15 people were killed when a truck filled with explosives detonated close to an army base in the Shah Shahid area.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the bombing of the police academy.
