33 dead in gas blast at coal mine in Ukraine


    At least 33 people were killed in an explosion at a coal mine in a rebel-held region of eastern Ukraine. According to media reports, around 30 people are still trapped in the Zasyadko mine while 14 are said to be injured. Anxious family members of the miners are awaiting news on the fate of their loved ones. It is believed that the rebels do not have the resources to deal with the disaster.
