Spanish police have busted 25 Nigerians engaging in human trafficking, money laundering and Internet fraud.
Police said the gang was sending Nigerian women to other countries and laundering profits by using vans to ship luxury goods to Lagos, Nigeria.
Five female sex slaves were released and 94 vans near Madrid were seized during the crackdown. Other 26 loaded cars seized near Valencia port contained expensive goods such as premium liquor and television sets.
Police mentioned that this gang, which was formed in 1990, captured these women in Nigeria and sent them to Mexico and Brazil with false identification. The women were then sent to Paris and eventually driven to Spain.
Suspects were arrested in several cities in Spain and 25 of them were illegal immigrants.
