23 People Killed in a Clash Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Over Nagorno-Karabakh

The territorial conflict between the two former Soviet Union republics Armenia and Azerbaijan, has once again erupted. Nagorno-Karabakh is the contentious region for both countries. There is a report of a fierce clash in which at least 23 people were killed on Sunday. The disputed area is internationally recognized as a part of Azerbaijan but controlled by ethnic Armenians. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Sunday that he was confident of regaining control over the region.
