23 injured in Pamplona Pileup

  • Bull-runners were crushed today on the seventh day of the festival in Spain called San Fermin festival. The narrow entrance of the ring was clogged by a lot of falling runners and at least one person was carried away unconscious while he bled from the face.

    This festival, which hadn't caused any deaths since 2009, caused grave injuries to a lot of people including a spectator who is said to have suffered from a heart attack. The Interior Ministry official commented on the pileups saying that these are one of the greatest risks that can occur in events likes these involving the bulls. 

    This festival, which draws people from around the world was on its second to last day when this tragedy happened.
