21 suspected informers executed by Hamas
August 23 , 2014
Hamas has killed 21 people, including two women, in Gaza, accusing them of collaborating with Israel.
The executions seem to be a reaction to an Israeli air strike that killed three top Hamas commanders, an operation that purportedly relied on ground-level intelligence in Gaza.
Hamas has warned of a similar fate for others suspected of being Israeli informers.
Meanwhile, as the conflict escalates, a rocket fired from Gaza killed a four-year-old child in Israel, the first Israeli minor killed in the war. In Gaza, at least 500 Palestinian children have died in Israeli attacks in the past six weeks.
