200,000 people flee the Syrian Kurdish area
September 23 , 2014
As many as 200, 000 people have fled from the Syrian Kurdish city of Kobani, as per media reports. The sudden and massive fleeing was monitored in just four days after ISIS entered the area. Most of the refugees have moved to Turkey and since Friday, September 19, around 130, 000 have entered.
Turkey however, brought down the number of open crossings from an initial of eight or nine to just two, thus, decreasing the influx of the refugees into Turkey.
