Forest fires have cut off around 2000 people at a town located in the central part of Portugal. Firefighters have also been going up against it in trying to control the two huge fires right at the heart of the country. The town in question is Macao and its Mayor, Vasco Estrela, has informed the media how tough it has become to either enter the city or leave it because of the flames as well as the smoke.
