20-year-old might have committed 79 murders

Juan Pablo Vazquez is believed to be responsible for murdering at least 79 people.
He was nabbed in Mexico this month and has confessed to being involved in 45 murders. However, investigations regarding the other 34 are ongoing.
According to security officials, most of these homicides were committed last year.
Officials don't consider his arrest to be shocking since there are plenty for drug cartels in Monterrey. The state of Nuevo Leon has seen an average of 108 killings each month over the recent years.
This means that Vazquez is probably not the the worst killer in the region; he is said to be a member of the Gulf cartel.
