1974 Birmingham pub bombings: Inquests to be reopened

  • A coroner has said that inquests into the deaths of 21 people in the Birmingham pub bombings that took place in 1974 are to be reopened. Louise Hunt said that there was a wealth of information that has not yet been heard. She stated that she had received information that suggested the authorities had been warned after two men had been heard saying Birmingham was to be bombed next week. She said that the police took no action.
