17 terrorists killed in Khyber Agency, says Pakistan's army

  • Terrorists attacked army troops in northwestern Pakistan, leading to a lengthy battle between the two sides in which 17 militants were killed, the Pakistani army has said.

    The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the militant attack that took place in Khyber Agency.

    The Pakistani Taliban said in a statement that it would send its fighters to Khyber Agency to join forces with the Lashkar-i-Islam, another militant group, and carry out more attacks against Pakistani forces.
