1600 Evacuated after Heavy Floods in France

  • As many as 1,600 people are evacuated following the heavy floods in France. It is reported that many of them were campers. Allegedly, there's also missing a 70-year-old children supervisor from a summer camp. In one of the camps, 119 children have been evacuated. Among the worst-hit areas are Drôme, Ardèche, and Gard. Four helicopters and over four-hundred firefighters have been deployed. The flooding in the region followed after there was an unusually hot weather. The French interior ministry has stated that as many as 6 departments were on flood alert.
